As Singapore is a logistics hub, I believed it would be the best country for me to study Logistics. University College Dublin (UCD) was one of the universities that offers the course, which is why I chose it. I thought that studying the subject in a country that is a well-developed global logistics hub would help me accumulate practical and deeper knowledge. In the end, I gained relevant knowledge through professors who have a wealth of professional experiences that cannot be learned from books. I also expanded my world views through discussions with my classmates from different countries. Furthermore, being a member of the Student Executive Committee (SEC) has taught me to collaborate more effectively. " />
Given this good opportunity to come to Singapore for further education, I did thorough research on which place to choose for my studies, and I decided that Kaplan is the best choice. Kaplan has also provided me with timely and relevant information about the job market and expert knowledge of the banking and finance industry. Since English is not my first language, I had trouble understanding many things during lectures, so the only solution for me was to ask a lot of questions. Thankfully, all the lecturers were very patient and helpful in guiding me when I do not know something. Every lecturer has a different teaching style, but I like all their teaching styles. In my opinion, I like teachers who have years of industry experience, and the lecturers here do have it. This motivated me to study hard. " />
The lecturers at Kaplan do not simply teach in a one-way method, instead, they will ask the students a lot of questions and the class will proceed based on students’ answers. Furthermore, they will also allow students to share their opinions during discussion time. I think these efforts will stimulate the students to better understand their relevant major and encourage further studies by generating curiosity. In addition, the lecturers also respond quickly to students’ emails, which is helpful for self-study. Kaplan serves as a bridge that connects us with the universities in Europe and Australia. This gives me the opportunity to complete their university programmes much closer to home. At Kaplan, I am able to enjoy my campus life through the numerous events and beneficial programmes provided by the school and student club. " />
As a Korean national, I chose Singapore to pursue my higher education because, unlike other South East Asian countries, Singapore offered me a chance to learn different languages and cultures. Thankfully, my seniors from high school have studied at Kaplan, which allowed me to find out more about Kaplan easily. Apart from the high quality of education provided, the lecturers at Kaplan also provide me with feedback regularly on how I can improve. Whenever I encounter a problem, the lecturers will be sure to guide me onto the right path. " />
